Trusting the Lord is a lesson I constantly think we learn and grow in. But it's definitely one that needs to smack us on the face! 🥲 God's ways are higher and whether our life goes the way we plan or not, we need to trust Him with our whole heart because He is the only thing that is constant!

I would say I get afraid of punishment pretty easily. 😂 But I am thankful for this reminder that God's perfect love has covered me for the ultimate punishment I can't get out of on my own. So because of His love, I do not need to fear what happens at the end of my life. His perfect love casts out my fear! 🤍🤍🤍

We need love and we need to do all things in love. It can be hard to remember that it is the reason we do what we do... but without love we would be nothing. We have experienced ultimate love with what God does for us and we get to share it with each other!

The people were told this after they had read the book of the Law of God together where they made it clear so the people understood. Then they were told not to weep any more from hearing the words of the Law because it was a Holy Day to the Lord. So, there was no reason to grieve, "for the joy of the Lord is your strength!"

If we forget the joy of the Lord, we can go back to the Word to renew our minds in what God has done for us. We are no longer bound to laws but made clean because of the blood of Jesus. There is great reason to be full of joy!

Sometimes I think we hear the word welfare (or prosper) and what comes to mind is all the things we want. But then if we don't get these things and others do, it sure doesn't make this verse seem true. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But God's plan for the Israelites in the book of Jeremiah was for their deliverance. And fast forward many years, God revealed his plan of salvation for all people who believe. So THAT is the plan that will ALWAYS give us a hope and a future... Even an eternal future! ⭐️

Did you know this was said before the Israelites crossed the Red Sea?

God had already promised the Israelites that He would deliver them as His people. But facing what seemed like a dead end, they were afraid (deeply afraid at that). The Egyptians were chasing them and ahead lay vast waters. So they questioned Moses (don't we all like to ask questions out of desperation?)

But Moses, their leader, still trusted God. So he told them “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent."

God has given us many promises, so in times of doubt, we need only to be silent and trust that He will fight for what He has promised us.

Good isn't necessarily our own definition of good. But all things no matter how hard or how challenging will be working together for our growth and wellbeing. If it draws us or others closer to our Saviour, it will always be worth it!
